The Octagon at Queen Mary University in London.
This stunning venue was built in 1888 and was originally the Queen Mary library, designed by Victorian architect ER Robson and inspired by the Reading Room at the British Museum. The domed ceiling reaches an impressive three storeys high and busts of famous literati surround the dome including Shakespeare, Wordsworth and Chaucer to name a few.
The Octagon is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 240 guests and can host 100 to 240 guests for a wedding breakfast.
